Privacy

This site collects nothing about you itself. The advertising on it does, and this page says exactly what that is and how to turn it off.

What I collect

Nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no forms that store what you type, and no analytics script of my own. The search box runs in your browser. If you write to the address on the contact page, I have your email because you sent it, and I use it to reply.

What the hosting sees

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the standard details of each request: your IP address, browser, and the page you asked for. I see those only as aggregate counts, such as how many people read a page in a week. I do not keep or export individual visits.

Advertising cookies

The site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google, and the advertising partners it works with, use cookies to show ads based on your earlier visits to this site and to other sites. The main one is Google's advertising cookie. That data goes to Google, not to me; I never see who you are, only that an ad was shown.

You can turn personalized advertising off at Google's ad settings, and opt out of other vendors' personalized ads at aboutads.info. Blocking cookies in your browser also works; the site reads fine without them.

Your color mode

If you switch between light and dark, that choice is saved in your own browser's storage so the page does not flash on your next visit. It is not a cookie, it never leaves your browser, and clearing site data removes it.

Children

This site is written for people who run security tools at work. It is not directed at children under thirteen, and I knowingly collect nothing from them, or from anyone else.

If any of this changes, the change is published here with the date, the same way corrections are. Last updated 2026-09-06.
